Universal has decided to move forward in bringing us a new Scarface movie. Keeping the backbone of the first two films (the 1932 Howard Hawks version and the 1983 Brian de Palma film), the new Scarface will tell the same rags to riches story of a little man who rises to the top of the crime world. Movie fans have certainly had a lot to say about this proposed third movie along with who they’d like to see play the lead role.
Despite global outcry about George Lucas tinkering with the Star Wars franchise, sales for the Blu-Ray version were record-breaking. Find out how much more coin ended up in Lucas’ wallet.

Peter Tolan, creator and writer for the FX television series Rescue Me has turned in a script for a new Baywatch movie, though he admits he’s never watched the show and the script has nothing to do with the original TV series.
Sheryl Crowe will be writing new songs for the Broadway adaptation of Barry Levinson’s 1982 dramedy Diner.
Speaking of musicians, Elton John is teaming up with writer Lee Hall to produce a biopic movie about… Elton John! Titled Rocketman, the movie will piece together key moments in John’s life on his rise to becoming the legendary musician we know today.

We got our first look of Clint Eastwood’s biopic of infamous lawman J. Edgar Hoover, with Leonardo DiCaprio playing the title role. Looking every bit the Oscar-contender it has been hyped up to be, J. Edgar arrives in theaters December 16th.

Liam Neeson leads a bunch of oil men who are stranded in the Alaskan wilderness following a plane crash. Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin’ Aces) pits Nesson and crew against a pack of hungry wolves and frankly, Neeson ain’t about to become dinner. Showcasing those particular set of skills in the frigid wilderness, Neeson looks to lead the men to safety. The Grey lands in theaters January 27th.
A nearly four-minute extended trailer for David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo arrived Wednesday. It’s our first chance to hear stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara bring Steig Larsson’s best-selling words to life. And if you're concerned about a four-minute long trailer being too filled with all the best bits of the movie, don't be. This is an expertly cut together trailer that breezes by without being too heavy on exposition and spoilers.
