After reading that headline, you might be thinking this is yet another remake/reboot to come out of the Hollywood pipeline. Well, not exactly. Deadline reports that this new Scarface movie will be use common elements of the first two films in an attempt to create a new story.
Essentially the backbone of the story will remain the same – a little guy who tosses his morals out the window in to become the king of the criminal underworld and achieve his American Dream.
Whether all this means our lead gangster will be Italian as in the 1932 version or Cuban as Al Pacino’s famous take on the character in the 1983 Brian de Palma movie is still yet to be decided.
