So you’re the casting director for a new serial killer flick written by Scott Walker who intends to use the movie to make his feature film directorial debut. The story is based on the real life killer/predator Robert Hansen, who over the course of twelve years kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed twenty four women. So who do you cast?
Four actors have signed on and they are an eclectic bunch, to say the least. John Cusack will play the killer while Nicolas Cage will take on the role of a dedicated Alaska State Trooper, who comes across a teen who survived Hansen’s attack. She’ll be played by Vanessa Hudgens, who continues to break away from her High School Musical stigma.
Added to this mix is rapper Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, who will play a, “substantial role,” as a 1980’s pimp. Fiddy’s also adding his name to the list of producers on this movie, titled The Frozen Ground, which will begin shooting in Alaska soon.
What do you make of this batch of actors and, for that matter, this movie? Does the sound of Cage and Hudgens acting opposite each other while they track down Cusack pique your interest or will you give this movie a pass?
