Yesterday evening, Peter Jackson took to his Facebook page to announce that filming for The Hobbit had reached the finish line on Day 266. The film will now transition into the editing phase, though a good chunk of the first part has already been in that stage for several months now.
Jackson also promised that he will be at Comic-Con next Saturday as part of Warner Bros. lengthy Hall H panel which will include The Hobbit. The first part, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey arrives in theaters December 14 with the second part, The Hobbit: There and Back Again arriving due out December 13, 2013.
But that's not all. Mondo, the collectible poster boutique of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, has announced the first-ever print for Jackson's The Lord of the Rings, kicking off a series that will include all three films and multiple artists.
The first poster was unveiled at Alamo's Mondo Mystery Movie X screening last night at their South Lamar location. The mystery movie ended up being LOTR: Return of the King and if you weren't lucky enough to get your hands on one, you can check it out below along with how much each version costs.
