They've got the power and they're ready to use it. This fall, at least three family movies feature strong female leads, beginning with Queen of Katwe, in theaters now; The Eagle Huntress, debuting in October; and Moana, which opens Nov. 23. Buffy Summers

The beloved TV series chronicled the life and times of a vampire slayer named Buffy.  The franchise all started with a film that introduced us to the once perky blonde who finds her destiny isn’t pom poms and prom dresses but rather wooden stakes and round house kicks.

Hermione’s powerful mind helps her do battle with spells and wand rather than brute strength.

 

 

Alice

One minute Alice is chasing a white rabbit and then next she’s battling the Jabberwocky. This high octane take on the classic chronicles her transformation from a soft spoken maiden to a fearless fighter.
