With Deadpool such a big awards contender right now, it's a good time to look at what else is on the way from the X-Men franchise. Get updates on the main series and spin-offs Logan and Gambit below.
X-Men: Supernova
The next sequel in the main series is X-Men: The New Mutants, but that's sort of another reboot spin-off with a new team of characters. As for the mutants we already know, their next feature appears to be titled X-Men: Supernova, as spotted in a recent Production Weekly listing. The name sounds like it could be in reference to the Phoenix Saga plotline centered around Jean Grey (Sophie Turner). Or maybe it's set in space. It can't have anything to do the Nova Corps, though, as that's a Marvel Cinematic Universe element.
Logan
We've pretty much known the premise of the next Wolverine spin-off for a while, but now it's officially been made public via Hugh Jackman on Twitter:

Meanwhile, Logan director James Mangold also took to Twitter today to share a brief tease of the film's score, as it's being recorded:

Gambit
It's been a while since we heard anything about the other anticipated character spin-off, Gambit, but finally we've got an update on its status: still happening. While promoting the upcoming X-Men-based TV series Legion, producer Lauren Shuler Donner told press that not only is the movie still moving forward but that Channing Tatum is still attached to play the Cajun antihero. Additionally, she acknowledged a Deadpool and Wolverine crossover would be a great idea and revealed Legion will only deal with X-universe characters they have no intention of putting in the movies.
