Friday, March 16:

 

TheOneRing.net Hobbit Movie Insider Preview (12:30-1:30p., Room 207)

 

 

This panel will feature staff writers and Middle Earth scholars from TheOneRing.net, who will shed film production details on Peter Jackson's two-part fantasy epic. Panelists will also confirm or deny various rumors surrounding one of the highly anticipated movies of the year.

 

Quick Draw! (2:00-3:00p., Room 204)

 

OK, so this isn't a movie panel but it's easily one of the most popular events at WonderCon. The concept is simple – artists much sketch as quickly as possible based on commands given by emcee Mark Evanier. This year pits The Simpsons Scott Shaw vs. Disney legend Floyd Norman (story board artist for Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc. and The Hunchback of Notre Dame) vs. a player to be named later. If you've never seen one of these, you need to experience it!

 

Making Animation History with The Last Unicorn (3:30-4:30p., Room 208)

 

The classic 1982 animated fantasy film is literally being pulled apart frame by frame and restored using groundbreaking technology. The new enhanced and extended version will arrive in theaters in both 2D and 3D in 2014. Learn what's being done from director Connor Cochran, writer Peter S. Beagle and co-producers Terri Kempton and Suren M. Seron.

 

21 Jump Street (3:45-4:00p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

 

That time is not a typo. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will stop by for fifteen minutes to promote one of the funniest movies of the year. Trust us, the critical praise and buzz this film is receiving is completely deserved.

 

Warner Bros. Television Screening: Person of Interest and The Secret Circle (4:00-5:30p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

WB presents preview screenings for a couple of upcoming episodes of fan-favorite series. Cast on hand for Person of Interest include Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson and Tajari P. Henson. That panel will be followed with an exclusive screening of an upcoming episode of The Secret Circle, six days before it airs on March 22.

 

WonderCon Exclusive World Premiere: Superman vs. The Elite (6:30-8:00p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

Be among the first to see the latest release from the popular DC Universe Animated Originals PG-13 Movies. The film finds Superman's effectiveness as a superhero being called into question when a new group of super-powerful crusaders known as The Elite appear. The Elite know no bounds when it comes to stopping villainy, even if it means killing on a massive scale.

 

Saturday, March 17:

 

Fox Searchlight: The Sound of My Voice (12:30-1:15p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

Producer, writer and star Brit Marling will be on hand along with co-writer and director Zal Batmanglij to discuss and possibly showcase some footage from the indie thriller. The film follows a journalist and his girlfriend who get pulled into a cult they are investigating whose leader claims to be from the future.

 

Twentieth Century Fox Panel (1:15-2:15p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

 

Fox kicks off a string of blockbuster panels when they feature Prometheus and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. As he did last year at Comic Con, Damon Lindelof will emcee the Fox presentation which will most likely feature some footage from Prometheus and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in 3D.

 

If you're not able to make it to this panel, the new theater for Prometheus will be premiered at AMC Downtown Disney at 4 p.m. PST along with a 30 minute Q&A session with Lindelof and director Ridley Scott. The live stream can be seen here.

 

Universal Pictures Panel (2:30-3:30p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

 

Universal will be up next promoting Battleship and Snow White and the Huntsman. We're sure to get a look at the new Battleship trailer, this time in 3D. Director Peter Berg will be joined by stars Alexander Skarsgard and Brooklyn Decker to discuss the project. Immediately following them will be Huntsman. Director Rupert Sanders will discuss the project and possibly show us more footage and possibly a new trailer.

 

Open Road Films (3:30-4:15p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

Open Road, the distribution arm of AMC and Regal theaters, will debut new footage for the sci-fi action comedy Lockout, starring Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace.

 

Sony Panel (4:15-5:30p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

 

Last year at Comic Con, Andrew Garfield kicked off the Sony panel by dressing up as Spider-Man and delivering an empassioned speech to the Hall H crowd. What will be in store this time as sony touts The Amazing Spider-Man along with futuristic action thriller Looper and Resident Evil: Retribution? Director Marc Webb and star Emma Stone are scheduled to be on hand for The Amazing Spider-Man while Joseph Gordon-Levitt will join wirter-director Rian Johnson for Looper. Milla Jovovich and husband/director Paul W.S. Anderson will be present for the Resident Evil portion of the panel.

 

Tournament of Nerds! (7:00-8:00p., Room 204)

 

Batman vs. Wolverine. Superman vs. a Kryptonite-suited Green Hornet. Only at the Tournament of Nerds can you find out who would win these epic showdowns. Tournament of Nerds pits two fans against each other to battle it out in a heated debate. Nerds will scream, laugh and cry as contestants look to advance their characters through a March Madness style bracketing system to superhero supremacy.

 

WonderCon Masquerade (8:30-11p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

It's Saturday night's big event as cosplayers coverage on the Ballroom to showcase their costumes and characters. Contestants will vie for a number awards including the usual Best in Show, Best Original Design and more. Several companies and organizations including DC Comics, Anime Social Scene and Femme Fatales will also present their own awards. Find out details about the Masquerade here.

 

Sunday, March 18:

 

Alcatraz Special Video Presentation and Q&A (12:00-1:00p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

WB in conjunction with Bad Robot Productions will showcase the prison themed thriller as cast members Sarah jones, Jorge Garcia, Jonny Coyne, Parminder Nagra, Jennifer Johnson, Daniel Pyne and Jack Bender take the stage.

 

Community (3:00-4:00p., Ballroom, Third Level)

 

Still no word on who will be attending the panel for NBC's hit sitcom, but we're sure it'll be a fun-filled hour with the cast and crew.
