Next year's Suicide Squad is filling up its roster so that it's literally overflowing with a who's who of DC supervillains. The latest is Killer Croc, an iconic Batman baddie, to be played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, whom we last saw as Kurse in Marvel Studios' Thor: The Dark World (pictured above). 

Someone's switching teams from Marvel to DC...

Akinnuoye-Agbaje will join a stacked roster that also recently added Raymond Olubowale (Resident Evil) and Longest Ride star Scott Eastwood (pictured below), who is rumored to be playing a potential future love interest for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. Olubowale's role is not known, though Latino Review says he may be playing King Shark. 

If that's the case, then between Killer Croc and King Shark, DC will be pulling out all the fantastical stops for this one, due out on August 5, 2016.

Already signed up to star are Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

One of the most unique movies to come out of this recent wave of superhero fare is Suicide Squad, the first film to be billed as a supervillain movie since it'll feature a host of bad guys who are forced to team up to conquer even badder guys. What's intriguing about this premise is that it'll make it so audiences have to invest in villains, characters DC can then turn around and use to populate future superhero movies -- setting up a potential scenario that involves you caring just as much for the villain as you do the hero.

Not only is that very cool (and very promising), but it also distinctly separates DC's plan from what Marvel Studios is doing, offering fans more variety instead of more of the same.
