Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out in three months and yet we've still barely seen anything from the actual movie. Of course, Disney can get away with this because people talk about Star Wars all day every day, so it barely needs to do anything to keep interest high. But, the sheer volume of Star Wars tie-ins out there also means you may be starting to feel a bit of Star Wars overload.

Things are probably going to get worse before they get better, but so long as they're as cool as what brings us here today, we'll be interested.

Today Facebook unveiled a new 360-degree video feature, and so naturally Star Wars was one of the first to take advantage of the feature with an interactive tour of the desert of Jakku, as seen in the second trailer for the movie. Don't expect it to suddenly unlock the secrets of J.J. Abrams' mystery box, but riding a speeder bike around a crashed Star Destroyer and choosing where to look is a pretty cool piece of technology.

The video embed below should work, but if it doesn't head directly to Facebook to try it out.

That's not the only 360 video, though. Another noteworthy one was apparently made at the taping of Saturday Night Live's 40th Anniversary Special. So if you want to watch Leonardo DiCaprio watch Jimmy Fallon, the world of the future has now made that possible.

Take a seat in Studio 8H and experience Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake’s #SNL40 Cold Open like never before — in interactive 360°.
