As part of a big Star Wars spread in its newest issue, Entertainment Weekly sat down with Harrison Ford at his airplane hanger to talk about Han Solo, Indiana Jones and everything in between (including some funny teasing of Star Wars creator George Lucas).

Here are five things we learn in the interview:

1. Ford wants to play Indiana Jones again

We've been hearing about another Indiana Jones movie for a while now, but so far neither Disney nor Lucasfilm has made an official announcement regarding either a sequel or a reboot of the franchise. One thing we do know, though, is that despite being in his 70s, Ford is definitely down to reprise the character for another go-round.

“Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’d love to do another Indiana Jones,” he told EW. “A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director — what’s not to like?”

2. Of course he doesn't care who shot first

It's one of the greatest controversies in Star Wars lore -- who shot first in that cantina scene in the original Star Wars, Han Solo or Greedo? Well... don't ask Ford cause he don't really care. When asked by EW, Ford spread his arms out and replied, "Knock yourself out. Have fun with it."

Ford's nonchalance regarding the topic isn't because he thinks it's dumb or anything -- he just thinks these movies are for the fans, not him. "It's not mine, it's theirs," he says. "I just work here."

3. His advice for the next Han Solo

Plans are already moving full steam ahead on a young Han Solo movie to be written and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street), and while Ford played coy when asked if he's involved in any way ("They're probably talking to the young Han Solo," he joked), he did have this bit of advice for whomever steps into the character's iconic shoes:

I would say, ‘Talk to your director. Watch the movies. And welcome aboard. Make it your own.’”

4. Han Solo is in no way becoming any kind of wise Obi-Wan Kenobi type

Despite the fact that the trailer paints Solo as a battle-scarred storyteller (“It’s true. All of it. The Dark Side. The Jedi. They’re real.”), Ford says that doesn't mean all the stuff we love about the character has gone away.

“No, there’s not an abandoning of the character,” he tells EW. “He does not aspire to the position of Obi-‘Ben’ Kenobi, nor do I aspire to be some New Age Alec Guinness. His development is consistent with the character, and there are emotional elements which have occasioned his growth,” promising, "there's a lot of the rogue still left in Solo. Some things don't change."

5. Finally, yes -- he watched the trailer that premiered during Monday Night Football, albeit reluctantly.

Unlike the rest of us, Harrison Ford wasn't gathered around his TV set with a group of friends, patiently waiting to Instagram his reaction to the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. In fact, he was just pissed it was interfering with his plans that evening.

“I was trying to watch the damn football game!” he joked, adding the family was in the middle of making dinner and doing homework, and -- yeah, alright fine -- they watched it "over their shoulder."

Lots of great stuff packed into this chat with Harrison Ford, including more about how much his real life mirrors that of Han Solo. Definitely give it a read.
