I once attended a one man show/drinking game titled "Ghost Rider, My Favorite Movie."  It revelled in how ridiculous Mark Steven Johnson's film was and by the time the credits rolled, it was clear everyone packed into that tiny comedy club had a really good time adhering to drinking game's rules.

Well, I don't think that performance will be getting a sequel show, because the trailer for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance looks like it used the bones of the first film to pick its teeth.  There's so much texture here, so much grit and grime that was missing from Johnson's film (arguably the worst Marvel film to date).  This looks like a movie that embraces a man with a flaming skull and a leather jacket and knows how to use him.  This is a movie that looks like it's ready to walk off the screen and fight someone.  Basically, this looks like everything the first movie should have been.  But then again, was there any doubt we'd be in for a testosterone overload with the Crank duo at the helm? Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance hits theaters February 17, 2012.
