To many, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is simply remembered as that '90s kids show where teens got orders from a giant floating head to put on spandex and go fight lumpy monsters that kept popping up in the middle of the desert. There have been over 20 different versions of Power Rangers TV shows since the Mighty Morphin days of the early '90s. Granted, they pretty much all follow the same formula of teens fighting monsters, but still, Power Rangers has been on the air in one form or another every year for the past 23 years. That's impressive.

As consistent as the TV side of things has been, however, there have only been two actual Power Rangers movies: 1995's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Both were pretty much just the show only on a slightly larger scale. The new Power Rangers movie, though, is promising to modernize the whole franchise and bring it toe to toe with what people expect from big-budget superhero movies. That's why you shouldn't be too surprised that the their new costumes (above, via USA Today) reveal a bit of an upgrade over the simple spandex and bicycle helmets of yesteryear.

We saw a glimpse of these costumes back in May, but this is the first time we're seeing the actual Rangers' faces. From left to right we've got Kimberly the Pink Ranger (Naomi Scott), Billy the Blue Ranger (RJ Cyler), Jason the Red Ranger (Dacre Montgomery), Zack the Black Ranger (Ludi Lin) and Trini the Yellow Ranger (Becky G).

Not pictured, but already cast in the movie is Bryan Cranston as Zordon, the all-knowing floating head who guides the team. You can get a look at Elizabeth Banks as the new Rita Repulsa below.

Power Rangers will hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
