What if the next Batman film starred Phillip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin and Johnny Depp as The Riddler? Both actors were rumored to be up for those exact parts not long after The Dark Knight made a killing at the box office, and while those rumors have since been squashed on multiple occasions (they don't even have a script yet!), one fan thought it might be fun to imagine a Batman movie that does include Hoffman and Depp…in case, ya know, our fantasy casting dreams don't come true.

 

Below you'll be able to watch a pretty fun fan-made trailer for the next Batman film that mixes together footage from The Dark Knight and other movies in order to make it look like Hoffman and Depp are starring as the villains in the third installment. I like how they used Hoffman's maniac speech from Mission Impossible 3 – it really shows you how great a villain he can be.
