First Image from Hugh Jackman’s ‘Real Steel’
One of the more fascinating projects currently in production stars Hugh Jackman as a guy who coaches robot boxers in a world where all human boxers have been replaced by big metal warriors. Real Steel is based on the Richard Matheson short story (eventually adapted for a Twilight Zone episode), and aside from Jackman, folks like Hope Davis, Evangeline Lilly and Kevin Durand also star. The film is being directed by Shawn Levy (who gave us those Night at the Museum movies), and the first image – featuring Jackman standing next to a big robot boxer – just arrived online courtesy of USA Today.
Seems like fans don’t want to wait any longer to see what the big-screen Avengers will look like once they’re all assembled together, as a number of people have already created their own versions of the upcoming 2012 movie’s poster. Previous versions had included the characters we already knew about, like Thor, Captain America and Iron Man, but recent ones have made sure to take into account the latest casting scoops – like Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who can be seen in the poster below. Looking at stuff like this just makes me wish The Avengers release date of May 4th, 2012 was, like, tomorrow. What do you think? [via Slashfilm]
