Oy! After Variety announced to the world that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was playing Alberto Falcone (aka The Holiday Killer) in The Dark Knight Rises, Entertainment Weekly has stepped forward claiming that news is false, according to their inside source. So what’s the real truth? Unfortunately no one knows at this point, though I’m leaning toward Variety being right and JGL playing Falcone since it makes the most sense storywise, especially considering Christopher Nolan’s desire to string all three films together with a narrative that brings it all full circle. Who would you want Gordon-Levitt to play in the Batman sequel?

 

 

Though Zack Snyder didn’t come right out and admit that General Zod is indeed the main villain in his upcoming Superman movie, he did at least put to rest the rumor that Viggo Mortensen was up for the role, telling Latino Review during a recent interview that Viggo is out. He says, "Yeah Viggo is not going to be in the movie let’s say that right now. I can clear that up."

 

Snyder went on to add that filming is slated to begin in late summer … and that was about all he could say right now before noting, "Look all of us involved with project have a great respect for Superman. Trust me when I say I want this movie to be awesome and I want Superman to be awesome, you know that’s true.  It’s not so much about like what I do and don’t want to do in regards to what’s been done, we need to like…I think for the audiences stake you want us to shed that…let that weight off our shoulders so we can go and make a great movie."

 

 

In honor of a new preview of the film on Entertainment Tonight later on tonight, Marvel and Paramount have released a new image of Chris Evans as Captain America. Not only that, but a preview of ET’s footage has arrived online, giving us a really quick look at Captain America throwing his shield (which is a moment you fanboys and fangirls have been waiting for, I’m sure).
