Since he was a boy, director Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station) has felt a connection to Apollo Creed. To motivate him before a game, his father would have him watch Rocky II. And that is what started his fascination with Apollo. And now, years later, it is those relationships, with both the fictional Apollo Creed and his own father, that inspired him to tell the story of Apollo's son, Adonis Creed, in Creed, the latest installment of the Rocky franchise.

In this Fandango Movieclips exclusive featurette, "Ryan Coogler's Vision," producer Irwin Winker, actor Michael B. Jordan and other cast members discuss how the young director collaborates on set in order to tell his story and get the most out of his talented cast and crew. There are also some great moments with Rocky creator Sylvester Stallone who talks about how this project came to be and why he gave Coogler his blessings to use his characters to further expand the Rocky series in a way he never dreamed.

Creed hits theaters November 25.
