Arnold Schwarzenegger has more than four million followers on Twitter, but two recent additions to that list have raised eyebrows. Patty Jenkins, director of the upcoming Wonder Woman, and Geoff Johns, president and chief creative officer at DC Comics, have both recently started following Schwarzenegger's social media account, per Batman News (via NME).
What does that mean, if anything? The site points out that director Rick Famuyiwa started following the Twitter accounts of a number of people associated with DC movies, including Geoff Johns, shortly before he was announced as the director of The Flash last year. NME points out that John Cleese began following Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck on social media in late 2016 and later fueled the fire by sharing a photo on social media that included three DC books, though no official confirmation has been made of his role in any DC movie.
Wonder Woman completed shooting last fall and last month Jenkins shared her feelings about seeing the final effects for the movie and recording the musical score.

Still, one theory shared by Batman News is that Schwarzenegger may be voicing a CGI-driven role for Ares, the god of war. Though we know that Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen and many more will be in the movie, we are awaiting an official list of whom is playing which character, so it's certainly possible that Schwarzenegger has a supporting role of some sort.
Wonder Woman will be opening in theaters on June 2. While we wait to hear about Schwarzenegger's possible involvement, we can contemplate his performance as Mr. Freeze in 1997's Batman & Robin, opposite George Clooney as Bruce Wayne and Chris O'Donnell as Dick Grayson. In other words, stranger things have definitely happened.
