Biography
Every bit as beautiful and graceful as her older sister Kristin, Serena Scott Thomas has managed to carve out her own niche in films and television. She started out with guest-starring roles for the small screen, and made her feature debut with the 1991 British drama "Let Him Have It," in which she had a small part (interestingly, the screenplay was written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, whom her career would dovetail with later). The part led to television movies and some notice across the pond by the producers of "Nash Bridges," an action series; she played the recurring character Kelly Weld, the main protagonist's second wife and a member of high society (as it happens, Thomas herself is related to Admiral Sir Richard Thomas, who served an important position in the British Parliament). Around this time, she had the distinction of playing a Bond girl, Dr. Molly Warmflash, in '99's spy thriller "The World Is Not Enough," written by Purvis and Wade. The 2000s brought a co-headlining role as Dr. Nicole De Brae, the chief of staff of a haunted hospital in the horror series "All Souls," as well as the part of Bruce Willis's kidnapped wife in the suspense movie "Hostage." From 2006 to 2007, she also appeared in the tele-novela "Wicked Wicked Games" as part of a powerful family with buried secrets.
