Biography
Sam Riegel is a Los Angeles-based voice actor and Emmy Award-winning voice director, known for his roles in animation and video games, and as executive producer of "The Legend of Vox Machina." Over his decades-long career, Riegel has voiced iconic animated characters such as Emperor Awesome on "Wander Over Yonder" (Disney Channel, 2012-15), multiple voices and voice director on "DuckTales" (Disney Channel, 2016-20) and Ketch on "Star Wars: The Bad Batch" (Disney Channel, 2021-). Riegel's most notable video game characters include Peter Parker/Spiderman in The Amazing Spider-Man games, Starscream in Transformers Cybertron series, Teddie in the Persona series, Gramble Gigglefunny in Bugsnax, and Phoenix Wright in several Ace Attorney games. He has also served as voice director for Sofia The First (Disney Channel, 2013-2017), Elena of Avalor (Disney Junior, 2016-2019), Archibald's Next Big Thing (Netflix 2019-20, Peacock 2021), Marvel's Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur (Disney Channel, 2021-), as well as Kid Cosmic (Netflix, 2020-), and others. In 2018, his contribution to the success of "Danger & Eggs" earned him a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of "Outstanding Directing in an Animated Program." He is also a recipient of two other Daytime Emmy nominations and three BTVA People's Choice Voice Acting Awards and a BTVA Video Game Voice Acting Award.
