Biography
Actress Marlene Forte was born in Havana, Cuba, and made her onscreen debut in the 1991 movie "The Color of Love". She appeared in a number of independent movies during the 1990s including "The Bronx War"(1991), "Lena's Dreams" (1997), "Mob Queen" (1998) and "Bury The Evidence" (1998). In 1996 she made her debut television performance as Mrs. Flores in a 1996 episode of "New York Undercover" (FOX, 1994-98). She appeared in 1997 and 1999 in two separate episodes of "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010) as different characters. In the early 2000s Forte appeared as a guest actor in a number of various network television series including "Walker, Texas Ranger" (CBS, 1993-2001), "My Wife and Kids" (ABC, 2001-2005), "Judging Amy" (CBS, 1999-2005), "Family Law" (CBS, 1999-2002), and a recurring role on "Crossing Jordan" (NBC, 2001-07). During that period of time, Forte continued to work in the movies, appearing mostly in independent films. She had roles in "Reunion" (2001), "Real Women Have Curves" (2002), "What Really Happened During the Cuban Missile Crisis" (2003), and "Adrift in Manhattan" (2007). During the late 2000s Forte continued to appear on network television, mostly in dramas like "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009), "Cold Case" (CBS, 2003-2010) "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (CBS, 2000-15). In 2008 she was cast in a recurring role as Rosie Hernandez for a season on "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" (TBS, 2006-12).In 2017 Forte appeared in "Superstore" (NBC, 2015-) and in a recurring role on "APB" (FOX, 2017). That same year she was cast in "Altered Carbon,", a sci-fi drama for Netflix
