Biography
Throughout his entertainment career as an accomplished actor, Fernando Alvarado graced the silver screen many times. Alvarado started his acting career landing roles in such films as "The Barrier" (1937), the mystery "The Falcon in Mexico" (1944) with Tom Conway and the Dorothy Lamour dramatic comedy "A Medal For Benny" (1945). He also appeared in the Van Johnson musical "Thrill of a Romance" (1945) and the drama "Gallant Journey" (1946) with Glenn Ford. He continued to act in productions like the comedy "Without Reservations" (1946) with Claudette Colbert, "Jewels of Brandenburg" (1947) with Richard Travis and "Tycoon" (1947). He also appeared in "The Bribe" (1949) with Robert Taylor. Alvarado had a number of different projects under his belt in the fifties through the early 2000s, including "Giant" (1956), "Christmas in Toyland" (Family Channel Studios, 1996-97) and "Nelly's Bodega" (PBS, 2000-01). His credits also expanded to "Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane" (Esquire Network, 2006-2011). Alvarado most recently worked on "The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection" (Bravo, 2008-2011).
