Biography
Chosen Jacobs was an American actor who broke out in 2017 when he nabbed a supporting role in the film remake of the Stephen King horror novel "It" (2017). Born in Massachusetts and raised in Atlanta, Jacobs began his career as a professional entertainer at a very young age. Intrigued by singing, he started singing opera for the Georgia Choir Boys at the age of 6, and before long was touring the world as one of the group's youngest vocalists. Jacobs' love of performing soon had him gravitating towards stage acting. Given his penchant for singing opera, he was a natural fit for musicals, and by the age of 10 was starring in productions of classic musicals like "The King and I," "Into the Woods" and "Hairspray." With his stage acting career on the rise, Jacobs longed to branch out into more film and TV roles, so he and his mother packed their bags and moved to Hollywood. Despite Jacobs' relative inexperience as a screen actor, it didn't take him long before he started landing roles. In 2015 he nabbed his first screen role as a reporter for the short news-based television program "FTS Kids News" (2011- ), and then the following year landed a starring role in the short film "Remnants" (2016). 2016 was also the year that Jacobs nabbed his first recurring TV role as Will Grover on "Hawaii Five-O" (CBS, 2010- ). Jacobs appeared on five episodes of the series, from 2016 to 2017. That same year he landed his biggest break to date when he was cast in the horror film "It." Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, the film was released in September of 2017.
