Biography
Born Brec Marie Bassinger in Saginaw, Texas, the actress made her first appearance on television in 2013 in an episode of ABC sitcom "The Goldbergs" (2013-). That same year she was cast as Emma in the Nickelodeon series "Haunted Hathaways"(2013-15). The show followed the adventures of a family who moves from NYC to New Orleans only to encounter a family of ghosts in their new home. Bassinger had a recurring role on the series and appeared in 10 episodes. Next, Bassinger appeared in the 2015 Nickelodeon made for TV movie "Liar, Liar, Vampire". Bassinger played the lead in this movie, popular high school girl, Vi. Vi mistakes the newest kid in school for a vampire, making him an instant celebrity. Also in 2015 Bassinger was cast as the lead, Bella Dawson, in the Nickelodeon series "Bella and the Bulldogs"(2015-). The series followed Bella, a high school cheerleader who becomes the quarterback for her high school's football team. Bassinger and her mother relocated to Los Angeles to pursue career opportunities while the rest of her family remained in Texas.
