If movies are any indication, then actors seem to be Britain's number one export. Whether Shakespeare-trained or models-turned-thespians, the UK is a key source for some of Hollywood's most talented stars. With Elizabeth Hurley vamping it up for E!'s new series, 'The Royals,' here's a look at 11 of our favorite young actresses from across the pond.

Elizabeth Hurley

Hurley went from the fashion runway to, well, a real runway, playing a gun-toting flight attendant in Wesley Snipes 1992 hit, 'Passenger 57.' From there, she made her mark in the 'Austin Powers' franchise before delivering one of her most underrated performances as the Devil in the 2000 remake of 'Bedazzled.'

Hayley Atwell

Before Marvel enlisted her for duty in 'Captain America: The First Avenger' as Agent Peggy Carter, Atwell showed off her considerable chops on British television. After appearing in the hit 2014 sequel to Cap, 'The Winter Soldier,' Atwell returned to the small screen to headline ABC's 'Agent Carter,' which centers on Carter's life following the events of 'First Avenger.'

Kate Winslet

From 'Titanic' to 'Divergent,' is there anything this award-winning star can't do? The acting equivalent to royalty, Winslet's career effortlessly transitions from compelling awards-bait films to big Hollywood productions. As leading ladies go, Hollywood would be hard-pressed to find better. 

Carey Mulligan

After her breakout role on BBC's 'Doctor Who,' Mulligan found herself on the fast track to "Next Big Thing" status. 2009's 'An Education' brought her to Hollywood's attention, earning her an Oscar nom for Best Actress. She recently starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the hit adaptation of 'The Great Gatsby.' 

Rebecca Hall

Although she may seem like an overnight sensation from her turns in 'Frost/Nixon,' 'Vicky Christina Barcelona,' and 'The Town,' Hall actually began acting at the age of ten, starring in the British mini 'The Camomile Lawn.' Her highest profile role to date? Playing a villainous scientist in Marvel's 2013 hit, 'Iron Man 3.' 

Gemma Arterton

After catching the eye of both audiences and 007 in 2008's 'Quantum of Solace,' Arterton appeared in the epic 'Clash of the Titans' and the lavish videogame adaptation of 'Prince of Persia,' alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. With recent turns in such diverse fair as 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' and 'Runner Runner,' she has proven to be one of the industry's most versatile talents.

Emily Blunt

Blunt stole the show with her first major role opposite Meryl Streep in 2006's 'The Devil Wears Prada.' In 2014, she added "action hero" to her resume, costarring with Tom Cruise in the clever sci-fi action film, 'Edge of Tomorrow.' And if that wasn't enough, she can also sing -- as proven by her charming turn in 2014's 'Into the Woods.'

Keira Knightley

Since catching international audiences' attention at 23 with 2003's 'Bend it Like Beckham,' Knightley has forged quite an impressive Hollywood career. With one major franchise under her belt -- courtesy of the first three 'Pirates of the Caribbean' films -- and critical kudos for her dramatic work in 2004's 'Pride and Predjudice' and 2014's 'The Imitation Game,' this talented Brit won't be disappearing from movie theaters anytime soon. 

Sienna Miller 

Before the age of 28, London-raised Miller racked up an impressive list of credits, such as 'Layer Cake' (with a pre-Bond Daniel Craig) and 'Alfie,' opposite Jude Law. 2014 was a big year for Miller, appearing in two major Oscar contenders: The slow-burn, true-life drama 'Foxcatcher' and the Chris Kyle biopic, 'American Sniper.'

Rosamund Pike

The second Bond Girl on our list, Pike was fresh out of university when she scored her first big film role, playing the treacherous Miranda Frost in 2002's 'Die Another Day.' After roles in misfires like 'Doom,' Pike turned to more headier films like 'An Education' -- opposite fellow Brit, Carey Mulligan. 2014 was her biggest year yet, getting not only the lead role in the hit thriller 'Gone Girl,' but also her first Best Actress Oscar nomination for her performance. 

Emma Watson

Like her 'Harry Potter' costar Daniel Radcliffe, Watson has managed to find notable success outside of Hogwarts. She has earned considerable praise from critics for her roles in independent films like 'The Bling Ring' and the tearjerker 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower.' While she'll be best remembered as Hermonie, no one can ignore her impressive list of post-'Potter' credits.
