Harry lives with his surviving Muggle aunt and her family and does not come to know of the wizarding world until he receives an invitation to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As he grows up, he witnesses Voldemort's return to power and must take up the fight himself to vanquish the Dark Lord forever.
