In this long-delayed fantasy epic -- based on a series of books -- Bridges plays the Spook, a half-Gandalf, half-Obi-Wan type who takes on the titular character as an apprentice. Why? To teach the young warrior in the ways of dispatching supernatural foes (naturally), especially the all-powerful, evil witch played by Julianne Moore.
