The Soloist - Drama - 11/21
Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. star in the real-life story of musical prodigy Nathaniel Ayers, who developed schizophrenia in his second year at Julliard and ended up homeless on the streets of downtown L.A., where he performs the violin and cello. The movie tells his story, and the friendship he developed with an L.A. Times reporter who brought his tale to the world.

Gus Van Sant directs Sean Penn as real-life icon Harvey Milk (1930 - 1978), who was the first openly gay man elected to public office in America. Milk was an activist elected to San Francisco's board of supervisors in 1977. A year later, he and city mayor George Moscone were shot to death by another city supervisor, Dan White. Van Sant's film marks the first theatrical, non-documentary feature about Milk's life and career.
