Alright folks, time to strap on those box office predictor hats (is yours yellow? Mine is yellow), and start predicting this week's box office winner. Last week the latest Underworld film snuck away with a victory, scoring $25 million, but this week is anyone's game with three new wide releases entering the marketplace. Let's take a look ...

The Grey

What's the Scoop: Liam Neeson likes to play a badass in the month of January, and so studios keep sticking him in badass roles in the month of January. This year he stars in The Grey, a film about a bunch of oil drilling workers who get stranded in the freezing wilderness following a plane crash.

Why It Might Win the Weekend: Because the trailer shows us Liam Neeson fighting nasty-looking wolves with his bare hands. If you don't want to watch that, like, ten times in a row, then you're not from this planet. Plus everyone who's seen it, loves it, in case you need an additional opinion.

One for the Money

What's the Scoop: Katherine Heigl changes her hair color for this action comedy about a female bail-bonds worker whose first assignment puts her on the trail of one of her ex-boyfriends.

Why It Might Win the Weekend: Did we mention that Katherine Heigl changed her hair color? Oh that's right ... um, this also looks kinda cute. Plus it might be nice to see Heigl get a little dirty in that light action comedy sort of way.

Man on a Ledge

What's the Scoop: Sam Worthington plays an ex-con who holes up on a rooftop ledge threatening to jump. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Banks plays a police psychiatrist tasked with talking him down to safety.

Why It Might Win the Weekend: Those Avatar and Clash of the Titans haters out there might be interested in watching Sam Worthington spend an entire movie threatening to jump off a building. Also, we like Elizabeth Banks and Anthony Mackie, who both co-star.

My Prediction: I'm iffy on this one, though I'm kinda hoping the positive buzz propels The Grey into the number one spot. Either that or Underworld: Awakening will take another weekend.

My Pick of the Week: Like I said, who in their right mind can turn down Liam Neeson fighting a wolf with his bare hands in the middle of the snow? My pick is The Grey.

Now it's your turn -- sound off in our poll below and let us know which film you think will win the weekend box office.
