Good news is … nobody died this week. Phew. (Knocks on wood.) But even without an unfortunate (and untimely) celebrity death, news was still pouring out of Hollywood like a waterfall cooling off those trying to escape the summer heat. There's no escaping these hot stories, though, which means it's up to you once again to tell us which big news item you feel is the hottest of the week.
1. Green Lantern Finalists – Yesterday we told you that Justin Timberlake was in the running to play Green Lantern. Well, today, it was reported that Timberlake, Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds are now the three remaining actors vying for the much-coveted role. Which would you rather see in green?
2. 'Jennifer's Body' Red-Band Trailer – Finally we get to see Megan Fox in a film where she's not running from killer robots. Here she plays a popular cheerleader who turns into a demon-monster that feasts on unsuspecting boys at her school. Um, yum?
3. Harrison Ford Back in 'Indiana Jones 5' – Though nothing official has been announced, a rumor circulated earlier in the week that claimed Harrison Ford was suiting up for one last Indiana Jones adventure, which would begin production next year and be released in 2012. Previous comments from Shia LaBeouf indicate that this may indeed be true. Stay tuned …
4. Potential 'Twilight' Spin-Off Movies – They're waiting to see how well the remaining Twilight films do in theaters, but in a recent interview with RadarOnline, producers claimed that anything – even spin-off movies – is possible when it comes to extending the franchise beyond four films.
5. SNL to Make 'MacGruber' Film – Even with a less-than-stellar track record, the folks behind the Saturday Night Live sketch MacGruber feel there's enough to warrant a feature film. During the week it was announced that Val Kilmer and Ryan Phillippe were in talks to join SNL's Will Forte and Kristin Wiig, who originated the skit.
Now it's your turn – which of these five stories do you think is the hottest of the week?
