Though we have an entire year's worth of new horror movies ahead of us to freak out audiences everywhere, we can already guarantee that It Follows will be among the scariest you watch in 2015. The brilliantly atmospheric pulse-pounding thriller introduces a new kind of ghoulishly obsessive spirit: one that's sexually transmitted. Oh, you heard that right. It Follows tracks the story of one girl whose perfect first date ends with her being infected with a curse that finds her being endlessly followed by an angry spirit only she can see. A spirit, mind you, that will keep following her until it kills her... unless she passes it on to someone else.
It's pretty crazy, and the kind of film that's destined to become a slumber-party classic. The first trailer has arrived online, and it does a great job of teasing the immense tension of the film without spoiling some of its more horrific surprises.
It Follows hits theaters in France this February, and while there isn't a U.S. release date yet, we've heard early March. We dare you to keep following us for more.
