Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) teams with new friends Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to form a fierce foursome of like-minded women in Birds of Prey (And the Fabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), a smashing adventure with a light touch and murderous aim. Having left behind an abusive ex-boyfriend — goodbye, Joker! — Harley Quinn is prepared for a new way of life in her beloved Gotham. Yet her sense of justice propels her into action when she learns of a young girl (Ella Jay Bosco) who is under deadly threat from a diabolical crime lord (Ewan McGregor).
"It's a lot of fun," says Harley Quinn herself, Margot Robbie, in our exclusive featurette. Her fellow rabble rousers agree. "I'd rather have this psycho on my team," says Rosie Perez. She's "going to go way beyond the call of duty." In the words of Jurnee Smollett-Bell, "Harley Quinn just makes one big pot of gumbo" and stirs things up. Mary Elizabeth Winstead clarifies how the makeshift team functions: "We aren't necessarily looking to get chummy with one another. It sorta happens by force." Rosie Perez says: "We are not pulling any punches whatsoever." We also hear from Ewan McGregor, who talks about his character's goals, before Margot Robbie sums up the movie's wide appeal.
