We’ve seen this premise before: Two people stumble into a situation where the end result leads to them switching bodies, forcing each person to live as the other for an undetermined amount of time till they figure out a way to switch back. Lately we’ve seen this premise applied to an adult and child (17 Again, 13 Going on 30, Freaky Friday, etc), but in The Change-Up, it’s two adult dudes (played by Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds) who wind up switching bodies when they both wish to be the other one while The Change-Up simultaneously urinating into a fountain. Don’t you hate it when that happens?

The first red-band (read: R-rated) trailer for the film has arrived online (courtesy of Moviefone), and while it definitely goes for the expected gags, there seems to be enough here to keep you laughing throughout. Obviously the two guys are very different – Bateman is married with a family and miserable, while Reynolds is a playboy bachelor longing to fall in love and have a family of his own. Naturally, they both want each other’s life, and when they actually get what they wish for, hilarity ensues.
This one comes to us from Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin, not to mention the two dudes (Jon Lucas and Scott Moore) who wrote The Hangover (woo!) and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (boo!). Check out the raunchy, NSFW red-band trailer over at Moviefone and let us know what you think.
