For those not familiar with the event, WonderCon is like San Diego Comic-Con's little cousin. It's not as big or as flashy as what's arguably the country's biggest and most influential fan convention, but it definitely brings out the cosplayers and the movie studios. This year's WonderCon played host to a bunch of upcoming movies via special sneak peeks, but while the new Godzilla footage blew everyone's minds, it was actually a little kid in a Predator costume who got the most fanfare.
Meet Baby Predator, an adorable little kid who was the toast of Twitter over the weekend as fans and critics took to social media to proclaim their love of the tiny cosplayer.
#LRT: The Power Rangers there are good and all, but the Baby Predator, y'all. That is awesome.— Marc (@DasNordlicht91) April 19, 2014
Sure, you had big blockbusters like Godzilla, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on hand to dazzle fans with never-before-seen clips, but c'mon -- how do you not wanna just give this kid a high five and hang by him for the weekend?
Especially when he's getting into awesome confrontations on the convention floor with Lil' Boba Fett.
Like, who cares about Power Rangers when they're standing alongside Baby Predator?
Congrats to Baby Predator on his WonderCon debut! Now if we can just get him to square off against Baby Alien at San Diego Comic-Con, that may be enough to justify a very weird (but totally watchable) animated series in the near future.
Bonus: Since we teased Godzilla twice with nothing to show for it, here's a new TV spot to help hold you off till its May 16 release.
