Though we've already seen images of Robert Downey Jr. in his Iron Man suit for a second time, folks are dying to catch even the tiniest glimpse of Mickey Rourke's character in the much-anticipated sequel. Rourke plays a character called Whiplash, and while speaking to Empire recently he divulged a few more details about what it's like playing such a big part (he's the villain) in such a big movie.
Says Rourke, "I'm having the time of my life! It's been really brutal, because my Iron Man suit weighs 23lbs. It's sort of a half-suit, with half my skin showing, with lots of Russian tattoos, because [Whiplash is just] out of a Russian-zone prison." And you thought making a superhero sequel was easy! Kudos to Rourke for managing to fight Iron Man in his own hefty suit – we can't wait to see it. Right now they're halfway through filming Iron Man 2, and it will hit theaters on May 7, 2010.
Tom Cruise Visits 'Wichita' With Cameron Diaz
Why in the world would anyone want to go to Wichita? Just kidding, it's a movie – relax! Last month we asked you which one of several projects Tom Cruise should pick as his next movie. One of those was Wichita, which would pair Cruise opposite Cameron Diaz and tell of a single gal who finds this mysterious secret agent popping in and out of her life.
At the time of the poll, only 11% chose Wichita as the film you wanted to see the man do next. Most chose The Matarese Circle starring Denzel Washington, but so far there's been no word on it. According to Variety, Cruise and Diaz are both in final negotiations to do Wichita for director James Mangold, though the title of the film might change. What does this mean for you Fandango readers and how much of an impact you have on the decisions Tom Cruise makes? I don't exactly know, but here's hoping he makes the right one here.
What do you think: Do Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz make a good match?
'New Moon' Trailer to Arrive Sooner Than We All Thought
I know, I know -- we've talked a lot about New Moon these past few days, but it's only because there's a lot of fans out there who desperately want to know when they'll be able to see more of their favorite Twilight characters. Good news is it looks like we'll be getting a trailer sooner rather than later, as the first official preview will debut on MySpace Movies this Sunday, May 31st at 7:45pm PT/10:45 ET. Additionally, MTV will air a scene from the new flick during its Movie Awards show on Sunday night, too.
