Though the film has already seen Darren Aronofsky bail as director, along with star Brad Pitt, Fighter – which tells the story of championship boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward – seems to be finding its footing. David O. Russell has replaced Aronofsky as director, while Christian Bale will now join Mark Wahlberg in place of Brad Pitt – and now Variety tells us that Amy Adams is in talks to join the cast as a gritty bartender from Massachusetts who dates Mickey Ward, as played by Wahlberg.

Bale will play Ward's hardened older half-brother who helps train the young boxer. Nice to see Adams take on a role that's a little tougher and edgier than her previous fare. What do you think?

Jason Lee Re-Teams with Kevin Smith on 'A Couple of Dicks'

Kevin Smith's latest film is still shooting in New York City, and each day it seems to pick up another couple of cast members. In the film, titled A Couple of Dicks, Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan play a couple detectives who go on an adventure that involves recovering a rare baseball card, rescuing a woman and fighting off a group of gangsters laundering money.

Throughout production, the film has added folks like Seann William Scott and Kevin Pollack, and now Variety says frequent Smith collaborator Jason Lee and actress Michelle Trachtenberg have now joined the cast, along with comedian Jim Norton. It's not known who Norton will play (probably a cameo), but Trachtenberg will play Willis' daughter and Lee will portray the girl's stepfather. Even though Smith didn't write this film, it's nice to see Lee back in a movie directed by the man after his many hilarious appearances in Smith's other movies, like Mallrats and Chasing Amy.

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' Announced Production Dates

Not long ago we told you about Twilight set tours in Vancouver for you die hard fans itching to watch some of the action up close. Well, get out your appointment book because Summit Entertainment just announced that the third film in The Twilight Saga, Eclipse, will begin production at Vancouver Film Studios between the dates of August 17 and October 31. The film will wrap on Halloween (of all days), which is only a few weeks short of the official release date of New Moon. That means our tired Twilight stars will have plenty to talk about while doing press for New Moon since they would've just finished shooting the third installment.

Expect a few months off before these kids jump right back into the swing of things and head into production on the fourth (and final) Twilight film, Breaking Dawn. But back to Eclipse: David Slade (30 Days of Night) will direct this one from a script by Melissa Rosenberg. Eclipse will then hit theaters on June 30, 2010 … only five months after New Moon.

For those who read the books, which film are you most excited for?
