It’s good to report that the majority of reviews and user reviews so far see the sunny side up in Sony’s latest animated adventure, Surf’s Up. Coming out of last week's press screening, I knew that kids and surfers would dig it. But it looks like everyone else will, too. As a mellow, avid longboarder,it was just really cool to see that the animators got the actual sensation of catching a wave right (by penguins no less).

The whole thing is a love letter to surf culture. When you’re surfing, it's not about squashing the other guy in a competition (or at least it shouldn't be ultimately), but taking time to relax, have fun with friends and family, and not get too caught up in the daily grind of what everyone else tells you is 'important.'





As anyone who's been out on a good day will relay, it's hard to really stress about the normal worries when you're just sharing a smile with your buddies in nature. So, for the kids, and kids at heart, if you're looking for some fun and sunny vibes at a summer movie, this is the perfect breezy, light and cool ride to catch.
