Star Trek 3: While nothing has been cast yet, reportedly the script for the next installment in the Star Trek reboot could once again reach out to the original cast. This time Leonard Nimoy, as old Spock, would be reunited with William Shatner, as old Kirk, and that would mean the two appearing together for the first time since 1991's Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. It seems entirely logical as far as fan service goes. [Badass Digest]
Jurassic World: The latest teaser tweet from Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow came captioned "Autumn" and shows a familiar sign from the original Jurassic Park. This is a reminder that the sequel is set on Isla Nublar, the same island as the first attempt at a dinosaur-populated theme park. Is Dennis Nedry's skeleton resting somewhere nearby? [Twitter]
The Thicket: Peter Dinklage will play a role that sounds tailor-made for the Game of Thrones star, having been cast as Shorty, the bounty hunter dwarf of The Thicket, based on Joe R. Lansdale's novel. He'll even be joined by a prostitute in his task of helping a young man track down and rescue the boy's kidnapped sister in this early 20th century-set crime thriller. [Variety]
Kingsman: The Secret Service trailer: This comic book adaptation from both the creators and director behind Kick-Ass looks like a cross between Men in Black and xXx with a touch of A Single Man. The latest trailer gives a lot more action, a little more time with the preppily dressed villain played by Samuel L. Jackson, and comes on the heels of Comic-Con buzz and a new release date of February 13, 2015. [20th Century Fox/YouTube]
