The Divergent Series: Ascendant: Robert Schwentke will not be directing The Divergent Series: Ascendant, as expected. Schwentke, who helmed the second and third installments of the popular franchise led by Shailene Woodley -- last year's Insurgent and this year's Allegiant, due in theaters on March 18 -- "just needed a break," according to the report. A new director will need to be hired quickly in order for Ascendant to meet its scheduled release date of June 9, 2017. [Deadline]

Mother-Daughter Comedy: Goldie Hawn, who last made a big-screen appearance in 2002's The Banger Sisters, may be lured out of unofficial retirement by the prospect of starring as Amy Schumer's mother in an upcoming comedy. The Lobster Trailer: Colin Farrell stars in The Lobster as a single man in the near future who must find a marriage mate within 45 days or else, according to the law, he will be transformed into an animal.
