Hotel Transylvania: As the animated sequel Hotel Transylvania 2 gets prepared for its theatrical release on September 25, a television version is under development. While the movies have revolved around Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler), the proposed series would focus on Dracula's teenage daughter Mavis and her friends. Selena Gomez voiced the character in the movies (above), but it's not known who will take on the role for television. The series is aiming to launch in early 2017. [The Wrap]
The Last Starfighter: A spin-off of the beloved 1984 science fiction adventure The Last Starfighter will be adapted for the small screen. Jonathan Betuel, who wrote the screenplay about a video game expert who is drafted by an alien race to defend it from sinister invaders, is developing a Starfighter-themed show that will revolve around "alien law enforcement." If all goes well, the series would also feature selected scenes presented in virtual reality, so that those who are properly equipped can take a look around the environment. [Variety]

She stars as a newly arrived student at a posh school who apparently falls victim to a group of vicious teenage boys with murderous intentions. Little do they know that she has a particular set of hidden skills that will enable her to turn the tables on her evil new classmates. A Walk in the Woods U.K. Trailer: Based on a true story, A Walk in the Woods follows Robert Redford and his friend Nick Nolte as they take on the challenge of walking more than 2,000 miles on the Appalachian Trail.
