For any celebrity, being in the public eye is just part of the job. But some of them really make the effort when promoting a movie or doing general PR for their image. These are the celebrities who make it fun, for themselves and their fans. Below are the best examples from the past month of stars giving enjoyable interviews, appearing in funny viral videos and more.
Funniest Junket Interview
Only the remarkably charming and dry-humored Paul Rudd could get away with pretending to fart through a promotional interview for Ant-Man and not have it be too stupid or childish. Seriously, though, it was just the chair. He swears.
Most Memorable Talk Show Appearance
As a guest on The Tonight Show, Channing Tatum and Jimmy Fallon acted out a script written by children about what they think something titled Magic Mike would be like. It very innocently involves a bicycle pump.
Greatest Movie Promo
To get us excited for his moves in Magic Mike XXL, Channing Tatum also made a video for Vanity Fair demonstrating seven dances in 30 seconds, including the Running Man and an exceptional Vogue.
Best Magazine Cover Shoot
Amy Schumer got to turn her cover photo shoot for Glamour into another one of her hilarious comedy sketches, narrating what she’s thinking as she’s trying to pose while a guy is blowing air at her face. Also check out the Trainwreck writer-star’s unforgettable yet unsafe-for-work speech while accepting the Trailblazer Award at the recent Glamour Awards.
Best Celebrity Prank
To promote an afterschool program charity, as well as Terminator Genisys, Arnold Schwarzenegger surprised Hollywood tourists by pretending to be his own Terminator-costumed wax dummy at Madame Tussauds. This gives extra fuel to his critics who find his performances too stiff.
Best Spoiled-Celebrity Prank
Also for a good cause, this time through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a teenage cancer survivor got to have Bill Hader prank her high school in the guise of a firefighter leading a safety assembly. The fact that the Inside Out and Trainwreck star’s planned appearance was leaked doesn’t hurt his hilarity or the sweet gesture.
Greatest Good Deed
Johnny Depp is the latest movie star to visit a children’s hospital as his most iconic character. Not only did he dress up as Captain Jack Sparrow for the kids at Brisbane, Australia’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, but he even stayed in character, acting confused about technology not from his Pirates of the Caribbean time period.

Best Commercial Appearance
Somehow without acknowledging this month’s Vacation sequel/reboot, Infiniti pays homage to the 1983 original with Christie Brinkley parodying her character from the movie.
Greatest Callback to a Celebrity’s Roots
Just in time to promote the release of Ted 2, Mark Wahlberg hopped onstage at Madison Square Garden for a reunion with his brother and the rest of the New Kids on the Block, the boy band he was founding member of in the ‘80s. During his appearance, the concert soundmen played Wahlberg’s hit 1991 track “Good Vibrations” from when he was known as Marky Mark, but he didn’t rap along.
Best Late-Night Reunion
Amy Poehler, whose new animated movie Inside Out focuses on a young hockey-playing girl, continued promoting female athleticism in a recent talk show cameo. She reunited with her SNL Weekend Update coanchor Seth Meyers on Late Night for a special recall of their popular “Really?” segments in order to defend women’s sports.
