Iron Man and Captain America will most certainly be laying the smackdown on each other when Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, but they'll be other foes to contend with, too. Like Crossbones, formerly Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo), whom we last met in Captain America: Winter Soldier. You may recall how ole Rumlow turned out to be a secret HYDRA agent posing as a member of S.H.I.E.L.D., and when we last saw him he was being manhandled by Captain America.
Now he's back in Civil War as Crossbones, and Empire has our first look at the baddie (who's probably looking for some vicious payback) along with other images and a new Civil War-related cover for its February issue.
Here's Crossbones, whose role in the film is still a bit of a mystery.
Along with Crossbones we have a new look at Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), whose allegiance in the film lies with Team Cap, along with Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Bucky (Sebastian Stan), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). Expect Scarlet Witch to throw down with Vision (Paul Bettany) once the gloves come off on both sides of the superhero showdown.
Here's a look at Martin Freeman's character in the film. He'll be playing a member of the Joint Counter Terrorist Center, as well as Wakandan expert, which means he'll probably also have ties to Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). He's seen her alongside Emily Van Camp, who's returning as Agent 13/Sharon Carter.
Check out another pic of Cap (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) below, along with the two Civil War covers.
And in case you were wondering what the Civil War stars thought of the year's first superhero movie (and current box office champ), Deadpool, check out what Chris Evans had to say on Twitter.
Wow.....Deadpool was AWESOME! Well done @VancityReynolds #killedit #maximumeffort
