The success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story means we're going to get more Star Wars spin-off movies. The first is already happening, and it'll take place around the same time as Rogue One while also serving as an origin story of sorts for Han Solo. Disney/Lucasfilm will likely move forward with a third (and maybe fourth) spin-off film, but what they will be about is anyone's guess. Originally plans were afoot for a Boba Fett-centric movie directed by Josh Trank, but that went away when Trank left the project.

Many still think we'll see a Boba Fett movie -- or at the very least a bounty hunter-centric film -- while others are hot on the idea of an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie. Yes, the same Obi-Wan we've seen in all three prequel movies, as well as the Clone Wars animated series, not to mention his appearances in the physical and spiritual sense throughout the first three Star Wars movies.

This new trailer for Star Wars Rebels teases the return of Obi-Wan (voiced by Stephen Stanton), but a version of Obi-Wan we haven't spent much time with. Check this out.

What did Obi-Wan do while he was off on Tatooine in a self-imposed exile? Did he just hang out in a cave and do nothing for the years in between Return of the Sith and A New Hope? And what kind of emotional baggage was he carrying around, out there all by himself, living with the fact that he just destroyed his apprentice; the guy he was pretty much best friends with for years?

Seeing Obi-Wan pop up on Rebels means they're going to start exploring some of that. It may be our first indication that the studio is perhaps interested in a spin-off movie about Obi-Wan's lost years. The bigger question is... are you?
