Late last week Marvel premiered four character trailers for the upcoming Origins-esque X-Men: First Class. The trailers focus on Lucas Till’s Alex “Havok” Summers, Nicholas Hoult as Hank “Beast” McCoy, Caleb Landry Jones as Sean “Banshee” Cassidy and Jennifer Lawrence as Raven “Mystique” Darkholme. While the Mystique and Beast trailers look similar, Havok’s trailer looks pretty cool. The coolest one of this bunch though is Banshee’s supersonic trailer.
For those wondering why Havok is in this movie but not Scott “Cyclops” Summers, producer Bryan Singer confirmed that First Class takes place in an alternate universe. In this case, Havok has become Cyclops’ father. Yes, I know, outrage. X-fans will also point out that technically Mystique is supposed to be over 100 years old, though I presume shape-shifting into the 21-year-old Ms. Lawrence is a good thing for fanboys.

Something tells me January Jones’ Emma Frost will get a lot of requests, although a trailer featuring Álex González’s Riptide (his mutant ability is to spin incredibly fast and launch calcium shurikens and spikes from his body) would be pretty awesome.
