Iron Man 2 It ain’t easy being Number Two, and plenty of critics and fans alike knocked this second Iron Man outing from Robert Downey Jr. and director Jon Favreau for suffering from typical sequelitis: Too much bombast, not enough story. That may be true, but give it a chance. The movie is still a roaring good time—just set the bar a little lower. Here, Tony Stark is a bit of a downer—the contraption that keeps him alive is releasing a chemical that’s slowly killing him. We meet a plethora of new characters: S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), villain Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), Sam Rockwell as Stark’s evil nemesis, and even Sam L. Jackson pops in to offer some expository explanations. Extras: Jon Favreau commentary, four deleted scenes, "Creating Stark Expo," "Practical Meets Digital" and the AC/DC music video "Shoot to Thrill" (DVD/BD); four more deleted scenes, "Illustrated Origins," an interview with Favreau, "Working with DJ AM," concept art, trailers and the interactive S.H.I.E.L.D.
