With its theatrical release date less than two months away, the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens presented what most everyone wanted to see: a longer, darker and even more awesome tease of what is to come in the most anticipated movie of the year.
In advance of the trailer drop, director J.J. Abrams shared an encouraging note with fans:

Actress Daisy Ridley, who plays the character Rey in the movie, shared her tearful reaction: "Staying in a little BnB with my friend... Set an alarm to watch the trailer... My friend filmed my reaction. Totally emotional seeing it for the first time and so, so, so incredibly awed to be part of this incredible legacy."
Actor John Boyega admitted he was attending a basketball game (Los Angeles Lakers) when the trailer debuted and filmed his reaction later in the night:
