Well, the time has finally come Potter fans. As of midnight last night, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Iofficially landed in theaters with a giant roar. Over 2200 shows were sold out prior to opening night, and while a couple other films are also in theaters (like The Next Three Days with Russell Crowe), it's pretty obvious that Harry Potter will easily take the weekend with a final number that will push upwards of $100 million.
So instead of going through the new releases and asking you for your picks on which film will win the box office this weekend, we're going to cut right to the chase and ask you how much, exactly, you think Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I is going to take home in its opening weekend. Now, keep in mind this first installment in the two-part finale is not coming to us in 3D, so that opening number will be a drop lower than originally anticipated. As far as we know, the final installment (due out this July) will arrive in 3D, but we'll update you on that as we get closer to release.
In the meantime, have at it. How much do you think Deathly Hallows: Part I will make this weekend?
