Dwayne Johnson has been publicly teasing the idea of starring in a (still not officially unnannounced and dated) DC Comics' Shazam movie, but he couldn't decide if he wanted to play the heroic Shazam or the villainous Black Adam (both characters have powers like superstrength, intellect, flight and so on).

Well, now we know who interests the muscleman more. Johnson has confirmed on Twitter that he will play Black Adam in an upcoming DC Comics movie. We don't know what that movie is or when it will come out, but it's probably a safe assumption that Black Adam will not be getting his own solo movie but rather be a part of the planned Shazam movie. Here's a pic of Shazam (in red) fighting Black Adam while Superman looks on.

It's a role the actor has been tied to since 2007. In fact, here's a video of the Rock on MTV promoting Southland Tales saying that he was about to have a meeting with director Pete Segal (who, as far as we know, is not currently attached to this new movie) about taking on the role fans had been dying to see him play.

Are you happy Johnson has chosen the dark side instead of the hero? And who do you want to suit up as Shazam?
