For three days, actor Shia LaBeouf watched all of his movies in reverse order with a camera trained on his face the entire time. This happened at the Angelika Theater November 10-11 (but don't worry, you can still catch up with all the action). Whether you consider it fascinating or just plain weird, “All My Movies” captured the imagination of movie fans all over the world.
In honor of Shia, here are 10 other bizarre stunts and performances from some of your favorite actors. And see the funniest GIFs from Shia's event at the very end...
Sacha Baron Cohen crashes the White House as Borat

Tilda Swinton sleeps in a box… inside a museum
Tilda Swinton has a reputation for playing odd characters in odd movies, but the Oscar-winning actress’s weirdest performance came when she became a living art exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art. Visitors flocked in to watch the Michael Clayton star sleep in a glass case for all to see.
James Franco makes invisible art
The problem with writing about the insane art projects of actor James Franco is that you have to pick just one. As Hollywood’s go-to experimental oddball, Franco could fill an entire list with his absurd and frequently baffling stunts. So we’ll just go with the time he contributed a piece titled “Fresh Air” to the “Museum of Non-Visible Art.” That title was literal – it was literally nothing. It sold for $10,000. It was later refunded.
Crispin Glover karate-attacks David Letterman
In 1987, Back to the Future star Crispin Glover appeared on Late Night to seemingly promote his new movie River’s Edge… but he was actually there to promote Rubin and Ed and showed up in character as the eccentric Rubin Farr. Except that he didn’t tell anyone in advance and he almost kicked David Letterman in the face.
Gwyneth Paltrow tries to live on food stamps
In one of the more well-intentioned celebrity stunts on this list, Gwyneth Paltrow tried to live on food stamps to showcase the problems facing lower income American families. Instead, she became the subject of mockery and criticism from every corner of the Internet.
Russell Crowe sees a “UFO”

Shia LaBeouf isn’t famous anymore
Before he was watching all of his movies over three days with a camera pointed at his face, Shia LaBeouf combated plagiarism accusations by acting strangely enough to change the conversation. He infamously attended a red-carpet event at the Berlin Film Festival, wearing a paper bag on his head, the phrase “I Am Not Famous Anymore” scrawled across his face.
Joaquin Phoenix tries out a rap career
For a few months, it looked like Joaquin Phoenix was losing his mind as he quit acting, grew out his hair and beard, and tried his hand at a hip-hop career. Bill Murray crashes every party
Bill Murray is more likely to crash your party than he is to appear in a movie. The beloved comedy superstar has spent the past few years showing up uninvited at weddings, bachelor parties, karaoke gatherings, golf tournaments and bars, where he often makes big speeches and makes everyone’s day before vanishing as quickly as he came. And because he’s Bill Murray, no one ever seems to mind.
And because we kinda love Shia LaBeouf's latest piece of performance art, here are our five favorite GIFs from the three-day event.
