This week featured a he-said-they-said war of words between Michael Bay and Hasbro regarding the future of the lucravtive Transformers franchise while King Kong heads to the stage and The Punisher is resurrected on TV. Plus new trailers for Piranha 3DD, Tintin, Chronicle and Scorpion King 3?! Let’s take a look back at the week…
News
Hasbro announced that they were in talks with Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg to direct a fourth Transformers movie. Bay later said he was not in negotiations with the toy company and that he was concentrating on a smaller budget crime comedy he’s been meaning to make for several years now. Later, word leaked that Transformers 4 and 5 would be filmed back-to-back and the rumor that Jason Statham would replace Shia LaBeouf resurfaced.
In an interview with Advocate Magazine, Kellan Lutz says that director Bill Condon has added a gay vibe to Breaking Dawn – Part 1. "Bill has Taylor Lautner topless all the time and we have so many cast members I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the characters was gay." Add punchline here.
Minute to Win It host/TV chef Guy Fieri admitted he’s "weird-ed out" by gay people… He probably won’t be watching Breaking Dawn.
Mickey Rourke is apparently not doing The Expendables 2. Instead, Rourke is currently filming opposite Colin Farrell in the comedy Seven Psychopaths.
Milla Jovovich took to her Twitter account today to express her frustration with distributor Summit Entertainment for not adequately promoting The Three Musketeers, which opens today. Jovovich said, "Are Summit promoting it as a family adventure movie? Or are they resting on their laurels from Twilight in making no effort?" You can check out the first five minutes of The Three Musketeers, which opens today, down in the video section. By the way, The Three Musketeers opens today.

Edgar Wright is planning on screening a bunch of movies he’s never seen before over the course of a seven-night screening bonanza known as Films Edgar Has Never Seen at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles. You can view the full list of movies and add your suggestions here.
Anne Hathaway has joined the cast of Les Miserables co-starring Hugh Jackman.
This week in frivolous lawsuits, a 40-year-old woman is suing Amazon because their IMDB site lists her age which resulted in her losing her job. Also, a man is (boldly) filing suit that Hangover 2 was based on his life story.
Should’ve seen this coming. Occupy Wall Street has spurred Michael Moore to develop a new film.
David Fincher says that despite a great audition, Scarlett Johansson was “too hot” to play Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Fincher also added that he views the series as a “pervy franchise.”
