When notorious gangster Louis Garrett (Charles Bickford) murders the local tailor, a group of high school students are incensed at the fact that Garrett walks away a free man. With pretty Gay Merrick (Judith Allen) acting as bait, Steve Smith (Richard Cromwell), the leader of the group, hatches a plan to lure Garrett out into the open.
